Largest international grocery store in Carolinas

Super G Mart Charlotte is a chinese supermarket in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is listed at 7323 E Independence Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28227, which places it among the local businesses of Charlotte that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (980) 321-4048. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is supergmart.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 4,117 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded chinese supermarkets in Charlotte.

Charlotte is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Charlotte is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Wonderful international mart, I literally felt like a kid in a candy store. Produce, snacks, and groceries from US, Mexico, Europe, Middle East, Caribbean, East, South and Southeast Asia, West Africa and more. There’s an Asian bakery and 2 Asian restaurants that sells Asian cuisine. The Galbi I had from the Korean restaurant was the best I’ve ever had, bless that mother that cooked 👌🏾

We spent a really interesting half hour walking through Super G and marveling at the huge variety of things offered for sale. This supermarket caters primarily to members of the Asian and Hispanic communities, so it carries items designed to appeal to both communities — every kind of Asian noodle imaginable, a whole wall displaying Hispanic seasonings of every kind imaginable, a big table loaded with sugarcane in the produce section, and interesting fusion-cuisine offerings like Korean tacos. If I lived in a place with a multicultural supermarket equal to this one, I'd be there on a weekly basis.

I’d give this Asian market a solid 4 stars. They have a really wide selection of products—from fresh produce and seafood to snacks, sauces, and hard-to-find ingredients. It’s a great place if you’re looking for authentic Asian items that you won’t easily find in regular grocery stores. The produce section is usually fresh, and I like that they carry a variety of herbs and vegetables used in Asian cooking. Prices are reasonable for most items, especially considering the variety, though a few things can be a bit higher than expected. The store is generally well-stocked, but sometimes popular items run out quickly during busy days. One thing that could be improved is the overall organization and cleanliness. Some aisles feel a little crowded, and it can be hard to find certain items if you’re not familiar with the layout. Also, customer service can be hit or miss depending on the time and staff on duty. Overall, it’s still one of the better Asian markets in the area, and I’ll definitely keep coming back for the selection and convenience.

When I originally moved to North Carolina I was in Fayetteville, so finding Asian stores was so difficult. It made it difficult to find ingredients for certain dishes. Now that I’m in charlotte, I was so happy to see the selection here and that there was another Asian market not too far away I’ll be excited to look into as well. I liked the variety it had but also the Filipino selection with sauces, etc. I tried to take photos and videos of what I could but I didn’t have the time to go to each aisle. When I do I’ll add more photos, but if you’re like me you’re seeing the few posted and may not want to waste your time going there just not to find the item you’re looking for — especially since it’s off independence. But I think it’ll definitely be one of my better choices for grocery shopping now! I just wish there were more Filipino stores out here.
